Fife Doors Open 2026 - 12th & 13th September

Leslie Community Dig at Christ Kirk on the Green & Graveyard Tours

The Leslie Heritage Group are once again participating in Fife Doors Open Days, held annually to raise awareness and celebrate the value of cultural heritage across Scotland.

Doors Open, coordinated by the Scottish Civic Trust, is part of European Heritage Days and runs alongside Scottish Archaeology Month.  It is delivered in collaboration with Fife Council to bringing people together, highlight the need for continuous protection of our shared built & cultural heritage, and to allow access to places and activities not usually open to the public.

This year we invite you to come along to Christ's Kirk on the Green to visit our second Leslie Community Dig.  Pop along between 10am and 4pm to see what we are doing, what we might have found, and maybe even have a go at digging yourself if you fancy it!

We are also offering guided or self guided tours around the graveyard, so why not take the opportunity to have a wander through it, or maybe a stroll along the High Street that forms part of the Pilgrim's Way Leslie loop.  The Town Hall, less than 100 yards from the dig site, will be open for teas, coffees and light refreshments
