Raising awareness of the rich and varied history of Leslie and the surrounding area

Leslie Heritage Group aim to encourage an interest in the history and cultural heritage of Leslie.  There is so much worthy of preservation and conservation in the area, giving the opportunity to engage with the community on projects both large and small.

We want to promote the history and heritage of Leslie and the surrounding area as a source of pride to address issues facing the area.  We activley encourage volunteers of all ages to become involved in our projects.

We strongly believe that the wealth of knowledge held by long time residents of Leslie should be documented and maintained for future generations.  To this end, we have held oral history recording sessions which have proved to be fascinating insights into life in days gone by.  We hope to hold more of these sessions in the future so if you have a story to tell, please do let us know.
